Types of therapy I offer.

  • Solutions-focused.

Solutions-focused therapy is not about jumping immediately to solutions. It’s about ensuring you have tangible, concrete steps you can take outside of the therapy session in the direction of your goals. A strengths-based approach, we’ll explore how you have shown resiliency in the past - and how to leverage that strength today.

  • Person-centered.

Person-centered therapy puts you in charge, your goals, your strengths, your humanity - and respects that above all else. This also means that what is showing up in the therapy room in the form of your “person” is also an indicator of how you are showing up in other areas of your life. I am your partner in helping that come to the surface.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a way to efficiently rewire hardened beliefs that are having a big impact on your life. We use eye movements, tapping or a combination of the two to activate your memories and safely explore adaptive cognitions to re-write your story.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an approach that addresses the parts of life that feel in opposition to each other (the dialectics) and cause us pain. It does this by exploring the middle spaces in the dialectics, helping us to back away from extreme thinking which can drive extreme emotions. The goal is better emotional regulation with ourselves and others.

  • Cognitive Beahvioral Therapy (CBT).

Another of the behavioral therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) explores our powerful thoughts - and challenges them when they are not serving us or our mental health. What we think about becomes our reality, and, and the act of reframing our thoughts & circumstances is a choice we can make every day. This approach provides us with the skills to be able to make that choice.

  • Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, or KAP, is a type of psychotherapy that uses small doses of ketamine to enhance the brain’s neuroplasticity, which aids in the process of making the changes you want to make in your life. I do not prescribe the ketamine; this is done by a medical provider - if you meet the diagnostic criteria. We can discuss if this ultra-efficient treatment is right for you.
